Team Selections
Team Selections
Teams are formed with the emphasis on balancing talent, experience and socialization. Equal playing time is emphasized, but is not guaranteed for all playing positions. A child's safety must be considered when player rotations are developed.
"Friend Requests" are available on the registration. While efforts will be made to accommodate a "Friend Request", no guarantees can be made. To be considered, friend requests must only list one other player and be reciprocated. If player "A" requests to be on the same team as player "B", player "B" must also request to be on player "A's team.
Any additional special request must be made in advance via email stating the circumstances. Emails can be sent to fastpitchdirectors@cysafastpitch.com
Uniforms and Equipment
All players will need to submit sizes for their uniforms at tryouts or during registration.
We usually require players to try on jerseys and pants to get accurate sizing. Samples will be available to try on. If you are not comfortable trying on the samples, you may choose your sizes based on looking at the samples or by comparing to past uniforms you may have at home. Players will also need to know their shoe size at tryouts for sock orders.
We will be limited in our ability to exchange sizes once uniforms are ordered.
The summer uniform kit includes: jersey, pants, belt and socks. Additional items may be purchased during registration.
Players should purchase: a softball bag, softball helmet with face guard, a fielding mask, glove, bat and cleats (molded).
Season Calendar
Registration: Registration is completed online and is typically open in January-February.
Season:
- Begins in early May, when the city releases fields, and ends late June or/mid-July.
- Doubleheader games will be once per week at the 8U/10U level.
- For 12U doubleheader games will be once a week until school is out and then twice a week thereafter.
