Practices are typically held at the Chaska High School Varsity and JV fields.

West Metro Thunder is a club-style option for girls from Chaska, Chanhassen, and surrounding areas to gain a competitive, developmental experience playing in our community with friends and H.S. teammates. It's designed to be as competitive as club options at better value with more flexibility for the multi-sport/activity athlete.

Tournaments

Program Includes:

Fall/Winter: 3-4 Tournaments + off-season clinics and domeball opportunities
Summer: Big West League Play, 4-5 tournaments, Paid (Non-Parent) Coaches

Uniforms and Equipment

All players will receive 2 jerseys, 2 pants, practice shirt and helmet.

Players should purchase: a softball bag, softball helmet with face guard, a fielding mask, glove, bat and cleats (steel cleats are acceptable for 14+ players).

2025-2026

Starting in the fall of 2025, CAA and the Chaska Youth Softball Association are excited to bring back the West Metro Thunder 14U-16U program!

Program Includes:

Summer 2026: Big West League Play, 4-5 tournaments, Paid (Non-Parent) Coaches

Uniforms: 2 jerseys, 2 pants, Practice Shirt and Helmet

Program Cost:

$1,525 per player total
$525 due @ registration
$500 Roster Deposit (refundable pending acceptance)
$25 Try out fee (non-refundable)
$1000 (remainder) payable in up to four additional monthly installments.
